Downriver Walleye Federation
DWF Membership Meeting
Dave Mull would have been a life-long Michigan resident except he was born in Indiana and lived there for the first 22 years of his life, spending summers at his grandparent’s cottage on Corey Lake near Three Rivers, Michigan.
He grew up in Michigan City, and was old enough to remember the first salmon craze when coho were stocked in Lake Michigan in the mid-1960s. A lifelong angler, he has spent various stages of life pursuing bass in small tournaments, touring (and going broke) on the Masters Walleye Circuit, getting back into local bass tournaments and then getting a full-time gig as editor of Great Lakes Angler Magazine.
After 13 years, the magazine moved from Chicago to Portland, Oregon and his job went with it although he remains a contributor, social media manager and associate editor for the magazine. His current interest is fishing out of kayaks and he is a member of the Hobie Fishing Team. He currently lives on a hobby farm in Paw Paw, Michigan with his wife, two sons, seven dogs, six cats, three waterfowl, three goats, innumerable chickens and a rabbit.
